Vivaldi Lute Concerto in D P.V. 209: ii

This famous theme has been used on many movie soundtracks. It is ideally suited to a romantic interlude, for example, the signing of the papers during a wedding ceremony. It also works very well as a solo guitar piece.

Vivaldi Lute Concerto in D P.V. 209: I

The main theme of this movement is a typical Vivaldi "Bird call" - two very quick notes followed by a longer one, and all within a minor third interval, just like the call of the cuckoo bird!

Spanish Romance with Guitar and Strings

This tune was made famous in the 1950's film "Jeux Interdits" (Forbidden Pleasures) where it was performed on the soundtrack by the Spanish Guitarist Narciso Yepes. I begin with my solo guitar arrangement, then the video segues into my arrangement for guitar and strings (Violin and Cello).
