He has backed many visiting international artists, arranged music for the United Nations world wide telecast for the "Year of the Child" concert, played and arranged for the major Sydney (Australia) television stations, has relieved with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and still continues to perform regularly in bands and orchestras playing all styles of music.

He has taught for the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and run master workshops for other Universities from time to time.

In 1980 Ron became woodwind master at the prestigious Scots College, Sydney, and retired from this position in December 2004. He has written jazz improvisation tutors for treble and bass clef instruments called "Improvisation - Bridging The Gap" published worldwide by Mel Bay Publishing USA.

He is often seen performing in the Peter Inglis Jazz Trio.
