I use Anglicised (original) spellings and terms, such as COLOUR instead of COLOR, and TONE instead of VALUE.

And in music CROTCHET and QUAVER instead of whole and half note.

The older terms have a lot of history and allude to the connections between art, music, expression, emotion and movement.
