Basic Palette
The Basic Palette consists of hues: Cool Red (Crimson), Yellow Ochre (Yellow Oxide), Yellow (Cadmium Yellow), Cool Blue (Pthalo Blue).
White is used to lower chroma and lighten tone. We regard white as a 'mixer' rather than a basic hue. In a sense white is a very light grey.
