Modern Mythology in Mixed Media
A few of my mixed-media works representing modern and mythological archetypes.
I created these works with combinations of flat digital images, 6 inch action figures and simulated 3-D objects.
My earliest memories of reading include Batman, Superman, Beowulf, Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and The Iliad and the Odyssey.
Characters such as Iron Man have inspired countless engineers and scientists to explore and invent. Batman is the archetype of a modern day detective / renaissance man. Superman is a combination of Nietzsche’s "ubermensch" and Jesus Christ.

"Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" took Bram Stoker’s Dracula and inverted the role of the normally passive female victim.

3D modelling in the iPhone applied to a real world environment. A brave new world in art creation tools and in the palm of your hand!
