Mastering Monet

Rebecca completed her first painting at Paint with Pete - a beautiful rendering of Monet's "Meadow with Poplars, 1875"

Joanna did a great job too, but we expected that as she is a veteran of four lessons now!

In the background you can see a print of Monet's original on the left and my rendering on the right.

A superb art teacher!

" Peter is a superb art teacher and an interesting guy.

I employed him to run a series of Paint-with-Pete classes as an event for the Ord Valley Muster. His pupils were well satisfied and asked that he return again next year.

In just 3 hours he had them all producing a frame-able oil painting of a Master.

Peter is not only a great teacher, but also the author of excellent instruction manuals on painting and classical guitar playing. I recommend him to you highly. " - Bruce Livett - www.zebrarock.biz/.

Sally's first painting

Sally spent about 4 hours on her first painting at Inglis academy. She is pretty happy with the result!

We approached the subject in 4 stages:

  1. Drawing a black and white charcoal sketch to determine the best tonal composition.
  2. Blocking in the tones and basic colours on the canvas.
  3. Adding textured layers of colour and blending
  4. Refining highlights
